Hours & Work Schedule
Consistency and availability are essential to serving our growing clientele. Here is what the position entails:
40+ Hours Per Week (Full-Time)
Dedicated full-time chair with an appointment-only schedule on Vagaro, giving you the platform to steadily build your book of recurring clients.
Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Core daytime hours serving working professionals, local residents, seniors, and students.
Select Saturdays: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM
High-energy Saturday mornings (half day only!), giving you Saturday afternoons and all of Sunday off.
Sundays Always Closed
Guaranteed family and rest time every single week.
Candidate Requirements
We hold our craft to the highest standard. Ideal applicants should meet the following criteria:
Active North Carolina License (Required)
Must possess a valid, active NC Barber License or NC Cosmetology License in good standing.
2+ Years Experience Preferred
Hands-on barbershop or salon floor experience delivering clean fades, scissor work, and beard shaping.
Punctual, Professional & Dependable
Arrives on time, maintains clean tools and station, and shows pride in professional work habits.
Friendly, Community-Focused Attitude
Enjoyable conversationalist who makes clients of all ages (including kids, seniors, and regulars) feel right at home.

We are looking for a dedicated full-time barber to work 40+ hours per week, typically 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, along with some Saturdays (7:00 AM to 12:00 PM). Sundays are always closed so our team can rest and spend time with family.
Yes. Candidates must possess a valid, active North Carolina Barber License or NC Cosmetology License in good standing. If you are currently relocating to North Carolina with an active license in another state and in the process of transferring, please mention that in your application.
Broome Barber Shop is Waxhaw's oldest business, established in 1948. We are a traditional, independent barbershop with strong roots in the community. You won't face corporate micromanagement or rushed 12-minute haircut requirements. While bringing your own clients is always welcomed, it is not required. We operate strictly by appointment through Vagaro, so while it naturally takes a little time to build up a full schedule of recurring clients who specifically select you, our strong reputation and high booking interest give you every opportunity to build a loyal book quickly.
